Quick facts
How to read this
- Passing rate is passers divided by examinees. Conditional results are not counted as passed; they are included in examinees and are not shown separately.
- First-timers took the exam for the first time. Repeaters had taken it before.
- Region rates add up every school in the region. All exams combined adds up every sitting, so large schools weigh more.
- vs national is the gap in percentage points from the national rate.
About this data
- Source: PRC's “Performance of Schools” lists, one per sitting, June 2019 to September 2026.
- Exam names: PRC calls the regular exam the Nurses Licensure Examination, and the exam it gives abroad the Nurses Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE).
- Gaps: The data has no sitting between November 2019 and July 2021.
- February 2026: The February 2026 sitting (PRC page posted 6 March 2026) lists 8,158 examinees, 3,611 passed, an overall passing rate of 44.3%, with 4 examinees withheld by PRC (8,162 announced). About half of the examinees were repeaters, who passed at 8.3%; first-timers passed at 79.1%.
- July 2021: For July 2021 the school list adds up to 7,746 examinees. This matches the examinee count recorded for this sitting in the project's source notes; PRC's own page could not be read, so whether PRC withheld any examinees is not confirmed.
- Hidden cells: For three 2021 rows, PRC's file hides the split of failures between first-timers and repeaters; overall figures are unaffected.
- PRC totals: For 7 sittings PRC stated that it withheld a few examinees (1 to 21 each) from its school list, so the schools add up slightly below the number PRC announced. The table below marks each one.
- Missing sittings: 3 sittings have no school list here: May 2022, May 2023, November 2023. Each is listed in the table below as Not available, with the reason.
- Map: 258 of 663 schools (41,572 examinees across all sittings) have no confirmed place and are not on the map; they stay in the table as “not on the map”. 400 schools are placed approximately and show “(approx.)”; 5 are placed at their province only.
- Names: cleaned for readability. A renamed school is joined to its earlier results where PRC's lists make the link clear.
- Locations: not in PRC's lists. This site matched each school to its city or municipality, so a dot is not an exact campus.
- Special sittings (4, the Nurses Special Professional Licensure Examination, SPLE, which PRC gives abroad; 102 to 1,806 examinees each) are included as their own entries, marked “(SPLE)”. They are left out of the national trend line.
- Map boundaries: public Philippine administrative boundary data, simplified for the web.
